As Senior Designer (m/f/d), you will establish and lead a central Design Hub for the Clarios EMEA Aftermarket, delivering high-quality, scalable, and consistent creative assets across brands, channels, and markets. You will combine hands-on design expertise with strong creative leadership, shaping campaign concepts, visual storytelling, and efficient creative processes. Working closely with regional marketing teams and Corporate Communications, you will ensure impactful, brand-consistent communication and drive innovation through scalable workflows and AI-supported solutions.

The position will be based in our Clarios EMEA office in Hannover, Germany.

What you will do

As Senior Designer (m/f/d), your responsibilities will include:

  • Own end-to-end creation of creative assets from brief to final delivery in close collaboration with regional marketing, trade marketing, digital, product marketing, brand management and Corporate Communications

  • Translate master assets into market-specific deliverables, ensuring brand consistency, local relevance and scalable reuse across EMEA

  • Manage the Design Hub backlog, including structured intake, prioritization, capacity planning, timelines and clear communication of delivery commitments

  • Allocate and align workload across Aftermarket EMEA (≈70%) and Corporate Communications (≈30%) based on transparent prioritization

  • Drive creative direction and campaign execution by turning marketing briefs and business needs into clear visual concepts and assets

  • Ensure consistent application of Clarios and product brand guidelines (e.g. VARTA, OPTIMA) across all assets, acting as visual brand guardian for Aftermarket EMEA

  • Define, implement and continuously improve the Design Hub operating model, including briefing logic, intake processes, prioritization rules and stakeholder interfaces

  • Build and maintain scalable templates, tools and process standards to streamline asset creation and reuse

  • Ensure structured asset lifecycle management, including version control, handover, archiving and alignment with DAM processes

  • Apply AI and GenAI tools to improve design efficiency, including image/video generation, editing workflows and localization support

  • Plan and coordinate photo and video productions, including briefing, setup alignment and delivery of final assets

  • Manage design-related budgets across tools, software and production, ensuring alignment with campaign and Design Hub priorities

What makes you a good fit

  • Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Creative Direction, or a related field

  • 6–8+ years of professional experience in graphic design, ideally in an international or matrix organization, agency, or in-house design hub

  • Experience in a senior creative role such as Creative Director, Art Director, Senior Designer, or Visual Lead

  • Strong creative vision with the ability to translate business needs into impactful campaigns and scalable design solutions

  • Advanced hands-on expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and solid PowerPoint skills; Figma or Canva is a plus

  • Experience with AI-supported content creation, including image/video prompting and AI-based editing workflows

  • Proven track record in building design systems, templates, and scalable creative processes

  • Experience in asset management, version control, and structured briefing workflows (DAM knowledge is a plus)

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables

  • Experience in planning and executing photo and video shoots

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional and non-design stakeholders

  • Fluent in English, German is a plus
