As a Quality Engineer APQP (m/f/d), you will be responsible for leading Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities for new and change projects across EMEA (OE & Aftermarket) in accordance with APQP/Power D3 standards and applicable customer requirements. You will work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deploy APQP and the Quality Chain across the EMEA organization, coordinating and managing key quality deliverables, including D/PFMEA and Control Plans, within PLATO E1NS. In this role, you will support a broad product portfolio, including Lead-Acid batteries (SLI, EFB, AGM), Sodium-Ion (Na-Ion) batteries, and Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) batteries and systems.
The position will be based in Hannover EMEA Headquarters, Germany.
What you will do
Support APQP Quality activities starting with the RFQ phase through until product launch.
Facilitate quality work packages for assigned Launch program according to Power D3 (APQP five phase model), support Product Engineer / Manufacturing Engineer / Operations deliverables.
Monitor Quality health check of products/Projects during new development, Identify Risk & drive for mitigation actions.
Create and release documentation required as per advanced product quality planning (APQP).
Support compliance with all applicable quality Customer-specific requirements.
Ensure that customer requirements, Characteristic Matrix and FMEAs are considered in developing the control plan.
Coordinate and provides quality assurance support.
Support plants within preparation and on-time delivery of new product Launch related Customer Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages.
Coordinate and provide required APQP documentation with the Simultaneous Development Team and the different corresponding EMEA plants
Administration of Risk Management as integrated function within QC Process and Plato E1NS SW tool; maintain Master Data based on regular alignment with plants and SME
Attend SDT meetings, red flag meetings, steering committees and additional project review meetings.
Support execution of 1st and 2nd Party Auditing.
Contribute to the development of the product and production processes through support of APQP Quality Chain
Support DV/PV sample builds and verify that parts meet dimensional and functional requirements.
Supporting all standards and specifications required by customers like e.g. automotive SPiCE and ISO 26262 for Li-Ion projects
Support global and regional change management processes.
Conduct safe build process according to safe build RASIC in designated projects
Analyze data to provide continuous improvements in the supplier's products.
What makes you a good fit
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent.
Solid years (2-3) automotive quality experience.
Knowledge of APQP, AIAG/VDA standards and experience with working & implementing core tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA.
Knowledge of ISO/IATF systems.
Proficient in MS Office.
Ability to read drawings and specifications.
Ability to Work & contribute with interdisciplinary teams.
Fluent in English.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE is highly desirable.
