Job Responsibilities
Set up and program battery formation tables by selecting the correct part number, entering the appropriate formation program, and verifying all equipment connections.
Monitor formation equipment and troubleshoot connection, meter, and programming issues to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Monitor battery temperatures, identify abnormalities, and follow quality and disposition procedures when required.
Release completed battery tables and accurately complete production documentation.
Monitor acid mixing operations and implement corrective actions when volume or quality requirements are not met.
Perform hourly inspections of acid tanks, mixers, and related equipment to ensure process compliance.
Collect acid samples and perform quality checks according to established procedures.
Monitor acid levels throughout the facility to support continuous production operations.
Clean and maintain acid room equipment, filters, presses, and work areas.
Identify equipment requiring maintenance and communicate issues to the appropriate teams.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment while following all safety, environmental, and operating procedures.
Team members are trained on all equipment, processes, and safety procedures before working independently.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
6+ months of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform repetitive physical tasks
Comfortable working in hot environments (temperatures up to 100°F)
Basic computer, math, reading, and writing skills
Strong attention to safety, quality, and teamwork
Must be able to wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, uniform, and safety boots)

The St. Joseph Distribution Center (SJDC) opened in 1995 and employs over 265 people. The facility packages, tests, and ships Clarios batteries to customers nationwide, supporting both distribution and assembly operations.
