The Role

The Plant Buyer is responsible for executing the source-to-pay process to support plant operations through the timely procurement of goods, materials, and services. This role ensures supply continuity, cost competitiveness, supplier performance, and compliance with company policies and operational requirements while partnering closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers.

What You'll Do (Impact Areas)

  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including RFQs, sourcing activities, negotiations, purchase order creation, and order tracking.
  • Identify, qualify, onboard, and develop suppliers to meet operational and business requirements.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, Incoterms, and commercial agreements with suppliers.
  • Execute supplier performance reviews and drive corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement cost-saving projects and mitigation plans to reduce the impact of supplier price increases.
  • Manage supplier relationships and resolve service, quality, delivery, and payment issues.
  • Maintain supplier master data, pricing records, contracts, and purchasing documentation.
  • Collaborate with logistics, finance, import/export, and plant teams to ensure seamless supply chain execution.
  • Support compliance programs including SA8000, REPSE, IATF, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 requirements.
  • Monitor purchasing KPIs and support operational excellence initiatives across the plant.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Business, or related field.
  • 0–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain roles within a manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of SA8000, REPSE, IATF, VDA, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and ISO 9001 standards.
  • Advanced English proficiency.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

Work Model & Travel

  • Based at the manufacturing plant site.
  • Availability to travel as required.
  • Full-time, on-site position supporting plant operations.
