The Role
The Metals Procurement Analyst is responsible for supporting the procurement of metals, materials, and services while ensuring compliance with internal policies, contractual obligations, and procurement standards. This role contributes to supply continuity, cost competitiveness, and operational efficiency by managing supplier interactions, supporting sourcing initiatives, and ensuring accurate execution of procurement processes within a manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)
Procurement Operations & Execution
- Manage the procurement of materials and services in accordance with company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Process purchase requisitions and issue purchase orders accurately and on time.
- Validate supplier order confirmations and maintain updated purchase order information.
- Support the efficient execution of the end-to-end procure-to-pay (P2P) process.
Supplier Management & Contract Compliance
- Ensure adherence to supply agreement terms and conditions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with suppliers to support daily operations and transactional alignment.
- Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues when necessary to support continuity of supply.
- Support contract execution and compliance activities.
Strategic Sourcing Support
- Assist sourcing initiatives focused on improving pricing, delivery, payment terms, and supplier performance.
- Support contract negotiations through data analysis, market evaluations, and due diligence activities.
- Contribute to initiatives that balance commercial competitiveness, operational flexibility, and overall business value.
Compliance & Governance
- Apply procurement policies, compliance requirements, and delegation-of-authority standards.
- Ensure purchasing activities align with internal controls and organizational requirements.
- Support compliance with procurement-related quality and operational standards.
Systems & Data Management
- Maintain accurate procurement data and system integrity across SAP and e-procurement platforms.
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry for purchasing transactions and supplier information.
- Support reporting and analysis activities related to procurement performance.
Continuous Improvement & Collaboration
- Drive the implementation of procurement goals, standards, and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to support efficient procurement operations.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, controls, and operational effectiveness.

What You Bring (Qualifications)
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain operations.
- Professional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Experience working in a professional manufacturing environment.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to process compliance.
Preferred
- Experience with SAP and e-procurement systems.
- Knowledge of procurement-related standards such as ISO, IATF, and OHSAS.
- Experience supporting sourcing activities and supplier negotiations.
- Exposure to metals purchasing or industrial/manufacturing supply chains.
- Familiarity with contract administration and procurement compliance processes.
Work Model & Travel
- Location: Manufacturing facility or procurement/shared services location.
- Work Model: Hybrid or on-site, depending on business requirements.
- Travel: Limited travel may be required for supplier visits, audits, or business meetings.
