Clarios is seeking a dependable and hardworking Janitor to join our team at the Duff Assembly Plant in St. Joseph, Missouri. Our facility has been operating since 1973 and manufactures automotive and marine batteries. With more than 860 employees, we are proud of our commitment to manufacturing excellence, workplace safety, and community involvement.
As a Janitor, you will help maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment for employees throughout the facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Sweep, mop, wipe, dust, and clean floors and surfaces throughout assigned areas.
- Remove soiled laundry from locker rooms and replace towels and other supplies.
- Collect, remove, and dispose of trash.
- Remove snow and ice from designated areas during the winter season.
- Assist with distributing work clothing, gloves, and other employee supplies.
- Clean spills using appropriate powered cleaning equipment.
- Replace lead-cleanup wipes in designated employee cleanup areas.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and workplace safety requirements.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Work Schedule
- Full-time position.
- Second shift
- Approximately 8 hours per day and 40 hours per week.
- Overtime may be available or required, depending on operational needs.
Pay and Benefits
Clarios offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, including:
- Starting pay of $23.80 per hour, with progression and incentive pay opportunities.
- Paid vacation and 13 paid holidays.

Qualifications and Physical Requirements
Applicants should be prepared to perform routine cleaning and facility-maintenance tasks in an industrial manufacturing environment. The work may involve extended periods of standing and walking, bending, reaching, handling cleaning supplies, operating cleaning equipment, and working outdoors when necessary.
Employees must follow all applicable safety procedures and use the protective equipment provided for assigned tasks.
