The Role

You will support the development and implementation of digital solutions using the Ignition platform. This role focuses on enhancing process visibility, real-time monitoring, and building the foundation for standardized SCADA systems across operations.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)

  • Develop digital process diagrams within Ignition (SCADA).
  • Create and standardize machine templates in Ignition for scalable implementation.
  • Design and build HMI/SCADA screens for process visualization and monitoring.
  • Program subroutines in Python for data handling and system functionality.
  • Support PLC programming (ladder logic) for process control integration.
  • Develop technical manuals and documentation to ensure knowledge transfer and system sustainability.

What Success Looks Like

  • Real-time monitoring screens for critical process parameters actively used by operations.
  • Availability of historical data and trends for analysis and continuous improvement.
  • Standardized and reusable SCADA templates deployed effectively.
  • Documented procedures and manuals forming a knowledge base for SCADA systems.
  • Improved visibility, traceability, and response time in process control.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • Active student in:
    • Mechatronics Engineering
    • Electronics Engineering
    • Systems Engineering or related fields
  • Knowledge of:
    • SCADA systems (Ignition preferred)
    • PLC programming (ladder logic)
    • Python programming (or similar languages)
    • Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Interest in automation, digitalization, and industrial systems

  • Close collaboration with Automation, Engineering, and Operations teams
