The Role

As a OEX Digitalent Intern, you will support the development and implementation of digitalization initiatives across manufacturing plants. Working closely with engineering, maintenance, and operational excellence teams, you will contribute to projects that leverage automation, industrial data, and analytics to improve operational performance and strategic business indicators.

What You’ll Do (Impact Areas)

  • Support the deployment and execution of digitalization and industrial analytics projects across manufacturing facilities.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities through data analysis and performance monitoring.
  • Assist in the programming and configuration of PLCs and HMI systems according to project requirements.
  • Support the implementation, validation, and replication of digital solutions across multiple plants.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver projects aligned with business objectives and operational excellence strategies.
  • Assist in the collection, integration, and visualization of industrial data from multiple sources.
  • Contribute to the development and standardization of digitalization frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support the use of technologies such as SQL, Python, SCADA, OPC, MQTT, and industrial networks for data acquisition and analysis.

Qualifications

  • Active student pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Data Science Engineering, or related fields.
  • Interest in digital transformation, industrial automation, and advanced analytics.
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of:
  • PLC Programming
  • SCADA Systems
  • Industrial Instrumentation
  • Industrial Networks
  • SQL Databases
  • Python
  • OPC & MQTT Protocols
  • English proficiency preferred.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Work Model & Travel

  • Hybrid - Monterrey Business Center and Escobedo Plant.
