The Role

As a Maintenance Intern, you will support the optimization of maintenance processes through data analysis, system updates, KPI monitoring, and preventive maintenance standardization. Working closely with the Maintenance team, you will help improve equipment reliability, maintenance compliance, and operational performance by leveraging Maximo, Power BI, and continuous improvement methodologies.

What You'll Do (Impact Areas)

Maintenance Systems & Data Management

  • Support data collection, analysis, and maintenance of information within the Maximo system.
  • Update maintenance databases, equipment records, and preventive maintenance information.
  • Revise and update maintenance templates, task lists, frequencies, and standard times.
  • Analyze work order history and maintenance records to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

KPI Reporting & Performance Monitoring

  • Generate and maintain key maintenance performance reports and dashboards.
  • Track and analyze indicators such as Maintenance Compliance, Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR), and maintenance execution performance.
  • Support Power BI dashboard updates and reporting automation initiatives.
  • Monitor work order closure rates and performance by area.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance Support

  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Assist with the review and optimization of preventive maintenance routines, frequencies, and task execution times.
  • Support Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with maintenance technicians and engineers to improve equipment reliability.

Documentation & Standardization

  • Update preventive maintenance plans and maintenance compliance records.
  • Maintain and improve ABE and ATE maintenance documents and control charts.
  • Develop and update maintenance procedures, work instructions, and checklists.
  • Support process standardization efforts to ensure consistency and best practices across maintenance operations.

  • Accurate and up-to-date maintenance information maintained in Maximo.
  • Improved visibility of maintenance KPIs through reports and dashboards.
  • Enhanced preventive maintenance compliance and reliability performance.
  • Standardized maintenance documentation and procedures.
  • Identification of opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and equipment availability.
  • Successful support of TPM and continuous improvement initiatives.

Core Competencies

  • Active student pursuing a degree in Mechatronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance Engineering, or a related field.
  • Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.
  • Interest in maintenance, reliability engineering, and manufacturing operations.
  • Knowledge of maintenance concepts such as preventive maintenance, TPM, MTBF, and MTTR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of Power BI is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work with databases, reports, and technical documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement orientation.
