The Role

The CAPEX Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the achievement of annual CAPEX objectives aligned with the company's 5-year strategic roadmap and evolving business requirements. This role oversees resources and project portfolios across multiple manufacturing plants, ensuring successful execution in terms of cost, schedule, and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and oversee the execution of CAPEX projects across assigned plants, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, timeline, and quality objectives.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project constraints, assumptions, and risks while driving effective mitigation plans.
  • Review and validate project feasibility studies and Capital Authorization Requests (CARs) before approval.
  • Manage resources effectively across assigned facilities to maximize project performance and business value.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and performance management to Project Engineers.
  • Evaluate, approve, or reject scope changes, corrective actions, preventive actions, and defect repairs.
  • Prepare and present executive-level project status reports, including operational and financial performance updates.
  • Partner with Plant Managers and key stakeholders to develop strategies that improve CAPEX project execution and address business needs.
  • Participate in and follow up on strategic project reviews to ensure critical issues are resolved effectively.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, remove obstacles, and support project teams.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate project management standards, documentation requirements, and governance processes.
  • Drive standardization of project management practices across all assigned plants and the broader regional organization.
  • Ensure formal phase-gate and project closure activities are completed through final capitalization.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or Business Administration.
  • 5–7 years of experience managing large-scale industrial CAPEX programs exceeding $15M USD annually.
  • Experience overseeing a portfolio of approximately 50 CAPEX projects per year.
  • Proven experience leading and developing teams of at least 5 Project Engineers.
  • Advanced English proficiency (85–90% or higher).
  • Availability to travel frequently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Project Management, Engineering Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.
