The Role

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of manufacturing equipment through the planning, coordination, and execution of preventive and corrective maintenance activities. This role supports operational excellence by minimizing downtime, improving equipment performance, and ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

What You'll Do (Impact Areas)

Maintenance Management

  • Coordinate and execute preventive and corrective maintenance programs to maximize equipment uptime.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve maintenance plans, manuals, technical documentation, and equipment diagrams.
  • Monitor equipment performance and implement corrective actions to improve reliability.

Continuous Improvement & Reliability

  • Track maintenance KPIs such as MTTR, MTBF, and other reliability metrics to drive performance improvements.
  • Lead maintenance-related innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promote and sustain 5S practices within areas of responsibility.

Spare Parts & Tooling Management

  • Oversee the maintenance tool crib and ensure the availability of critical tools and equipment.
  • Manage spare parts inventories and maintain accurate records to support uninterrupted operations.

Safety, Quality & Environmental Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with Quality, Environmental, Health, and Safety management systems.
  • Participate in incident investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions when required.
  • Identify, report, and address unsafe conditions and behaviors to maintain a safe work environment.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with Production, Operations, and Support Functions to maintain equipment effectiveness and achieve business objectives.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities with external contractors and suppliers.
  • Support team development by fostering collaboration, accountability, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • Reduced unplanned downtime and increased equipment availability.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.

Experience

  • Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Experience working with industrial machinery and equipment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Technical Knowledge

  • Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
  • Hydraulics, pneumatics, and industrial electronics.
  • Maintenance planning and reliability methodologies.
  • Technical documentation and diagram interpretation.

Languages

  • Intermediate English proficiency (approximately 60%).

Work Model & Travel

  • Plant-based position.
