What you will do it

This position is responsible for the development coordination of Battery Management Systems (BMS) based on product requirements for advanced battery systems. The BMS Lead Engineer represents the main interface to the HW/SW groups to plan and monitor all BMS development activities, the definition of technical safety concept and the BMS architecture in the complete engineering cycles. Further responsibility of the BMS Lead Engineer is to be the main customer Interface during Quote, Development and product launch activities.

How you will do it

1. Requirements Analysis: Work with the Customer and the System Engineering and Component teams to collect, analyze, and approve the customer BMS requirements

  • Lead the customer communication for review and approval
  • Guarantee solid baseline of requirements and reference documents for the development

2. Development planning: Plan and monitor the development progress in alignment with program milestones

  • Work with Engineering lead and electronics and software teams to align overall program milestones
  • Supports Program Management (PM) by align development timing, resources and cost
  • Lead the system level BMS development activities
  • Report out of the development status in Clarios internal meeting (SDT/EDT)
  • Monitor the verification coverage for BMS

3. Customer Interface: Main customer interface for all BMS related topics

  • Lead the customer meetings in liaison with HW and SW teams as technical experts
  • Report out of the development status in customer meeting
  • Lead and support the engineering team for all electronics related customer needs

4. Additional Interfaces:

  • Assist in SW release processes
  • Lead the customer discussion in case of BMS issues
  • Support Clarios quality processes (FTA, FMEA, 8D)
  • Support Engineering and Quality team in customer report out

5. Manage documentation to ensure a sensible archive and traceability of including requirements, standards, DFMEAs, validation reports and customer documents/communication

6. Perform system analysis on design to direct BMS specific requirements and confirm HW/SW implementation.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor/ Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent degree
  • Solid years of professional experience in automotive control units
  • Solid years of experience with automotive product development
  • Solid years of experience in product development planning
  • Experience or training QM tools (FMEA, Fault-Tree, 8D)
  • Experience in ASPICE, ISO 26262
  • Experience in Vector CAN tools
  • Experience JAMA, JIRA
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity
